17th PSPC Webinar on TOF Part 1

On April 19, 2021, the Philippine Society of Pediatric Cardiology conducted Part I of the Subpecialty Series  on TETRALOGY OF FALLOT in its 18th webinar last April 29, 2021 with the theme THE CORRELATION OF SURGICAL OPTIONS and OUTCOMES IN LONG-TERM FOLLOW-UP.  The  speakers were DR. RACHELLE ANGELI R. NIÑALGA (“Surgical Options and Considerations for TOF”), DR. KARYN P. LUNA (“Considerations in the Post-Op Follow-up depending on the Surgical Technique”) and DR. NINO ANTHONY P. TANSECO (“The Use of Diagnostics in the Follow-up of Post-Op TOF- Cardiac CT”).

DR. MARY JANE VILLANUEVA-RODRIGUEZ  was the emcee and moderator during the open DR. CERES P. CANTO gave the invocation.

There were 169 participants in this webinar.  This was granted 3 PPS CPD units and 10 PHA CME units. 

Part 2 of the Subspecialty Series on Tetralogy of Fallot will be held on August 26, 2021 with the theme ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIC EVALUATION. There will be lectures on “RVOT and RV/LV Function” and “Post-Op Evaluation of the Pulmonic Valve: Option to Replace”.

The last part of the TOF series will be focused on CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION to be held on September 23, 2021 with lectures on “PDA Stenting versus BTS: Recommendations and Current Results”, “Pulmonic Valve Stenting” and “Pulmonic Valve Implantation in the Long-Term Follow-up of Post-Op TOF”.

Subspecialty Series II will deal on Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA) scheduled on September 30, October 28 and November 11, 2021.
