PSPC MEMBERS’ BENEFIT FUND
The Philippine Society of Pediatric Cardiology (PSPC) and Board of Trustees unanimously voted to put up a PSPC Members’ Benefit Fund Committee to be Chaired by a Past President and be represented by anyone in the incumbent Board of Directors.
The objective of this committee is to establish a permanent Members’ Benefit Fund of the society primarily aimed to address the needs of members with major illnesses, death or disability brought about by debilitating diseases, accidents and natural calamities. The basis for the benefit funds were classified into two categories namely major surgery and major illnesses. The source of funding will be from certain amount of seed money from the PSPC funds, PSPC sponsored International Symposium, Annual Post Graduate Conventions and Annual membership dues.
The guidelines were as follows:
Only members of PSPC (Active and Associate) in good standing can avail of the benefits; Application requires certain documentation papers and these requirements will be reviewed and approved by the PSPC board and PSPC Committee on Membership Board.
The appropriate fund assistance will be determined based on the guidelines and fund availability. Once approved, the appropriate cash or other forms of benefit will be given to the recipient and upon signing of the Acknowledgment form by the recipient.
